Pros: Cute
Cons: Battery life, small buttons, volume strip too sensitive
I was happy with this phone for a while until it stated dropping calls. I thought it was a signal but I didn't think it was. Also the battery is too short lived. I just unplug it from charging and half way of a first phone call the battery is dead again. Battery will not show low; it just the phone turns itself while in use. Called customer service, I was told that it may be that I'm using different charger (generic charger) or the phone is loaded with all kinds of programs. I don't believe so...when the screen just turns dark when it just done charging. I went to T-Mobile I was told to purchase new battery because the battery I have now is kind of soft and it may be wet :( I know, I know...he then say that I should get another phone because the new battery may work the same way. What?
Pros: full keyboard, mp3 player, e-book reader
Cons: MS Office, alarm, sync, volume control
First off, I bought this phone as a replacement for my sidekick. I was excited by the e-book reader capability as well as the full keyboard and mp3 player. I quickly discovered, however, the following issues:
1. Don't even think about trying to use the MS Office apps that come with the phone unless you either have a magnifying glass or want to get a hand cramp scrolling back and forth across the page.
2. The alarm works - sort of. When you disable the alarm, the next time you reset it the previous alarm is there too so instead of getting only one alarm you get numerous ones - one right after the other - so that you have to hit "dismiss all" or you will be driven crazy.
3. The sync feature give an error message if you save a file without using the sync feature. You will get a message telling you that a sync is required and when you hook up your phone to sync it will notify you that your files will be deleted. Turn off the auto sync and make a backup or you will be sorry.
4. The volume control is tricky. I read that in one of the reviews after I bought it but I did not get the full picture at the time. Basically, the volume slider is VERY sensitive. If you are in the middle of a call the volume dips when the phone screen goes "dim". If the phone is locked when you receive a call and it goes "dim" you have to pause your conversation to unlock the phone to raise the volume back to a normal level.
This phone is cool on the surface, but it is actually just a cheap imitation of a Blackberry. It is a good starter phone, but the novelty quickly wears off. I have had mine for less than six months and I am already looking to trade up. If you get this with a two-year contract, you will be disappointed.
Pros: black berry
Cons: T-Mobile Dash
