    Pros: BEST PRICE FOR A GOOD QUALITY LCD 42"

    Cons: SPEAKER CAN ONLY BE MOUNTED ON THE BOTTOM

    GREAT VALUE-THE BEST PRICE AROUND FOR A 42" HDTV, LCD COST LESS THAN SMALLER LCD'S. IF BOUGHT WITH THE REBATE!

    Pros: superb high def picture w/direct tv

    Cons: unlighted remote

    This thing is very good looking compared to other brands out there. I was skeptical at first but when I made the HD conection through Direct tv I was shocked at the quality picture. Some channels are worse than others of course, and standard programm...ing is good,not excellent. But anything in HD is stunning.You cannot find a better looking,high quality set anywhere in this price range and they have the BEST "IN HOME" warranty included!! I plan on having the set for at least 10 years, Im sure LCD's will be really cheap by then! Read more Less

    Pros: Good picture

    Cons: Support / Service

    This tv has a good picture and features however, their support is horrible. My mother board went out after 1 1/2 years and I have been without this tv for over 9 weeks. The first month delay was due to slow processing by the extended warranty company... but the past 5 weeks has been due to Syntax not sending me the part. No national authorized repair centers mean one must call their support line, they determine what the problem is , you pay for the part, then wait for them to ship it to you. I have spoken with several of their support people during numerous phone calls which last about 30 minutes each only to be told that the part was on back order, that they had just received it and would ship it out and I would receive it the following week. Still haven't received. A good tv but very poor customer service / support. Read more Less

    Pros: picture qulity, great sound, great price

    Cons: a little heavy, remote

    I bought this TV from Beach Camera three weeks ago. I was very surprised to see the TV arrived in less than 24h after my order, the fastest online order I ever got. Just have one concern, comcast cable TV already there just after I first turn it on w...ithout channel search. I may got a display model? Any one has any idea on this, I would appreciate. SDTV is good, the picture of HDTV and DVD are great! The sound system is one of the best I ever seen from a TV. I do not see a signifcant difference between this non-brand TV and other big name TV, such as Sharp, Sony, Samsung. I did cmpare them several times in CompUSA, alrough the color decoding is a little bit weak, the over all qulity of this TV is just great, give the much cheaper price. I got it at $ 1995 after rebate ($200) with free shiping. If I can get rebate from Syntax, if the life time of this TV can last more than 10 years, I'm more than 100% satisfied with this purchase after several months researching. Read more Less
