Syntax's OLEVIA LT42HVi is a breathtaking 16:9 42" widescreen HDTV that can easily enhance the decor of any family room, living room or den. Incorporating IDEA Technology, this 42" LCDTV delivers all the video and sound enhancements accompanied with amazing video content.

It features a native resolution of 1366 x 768 S-IPS panel that provides high brightness, a 1200:1 dynamic contrast ratio, with wide viewing angles (178º H x 178º V). The LT42HVi speakers are detachable and able to be positioned in two places, beneath the LCDTV screen or on the sides of the LCDTV.

With a fully integrated ATSC digital tuner input, the LT42HVi is a complete state-of-the-art HDTV. This means you can "plug and play" with any digital high definition set top box or simply receive local high definition broadcasts over the air for free. It features DUAL Progressive Scan Component inputs and HDMI inputs to support the latest video technology craze within the industry. It is PC compatible and delivers 25 watts of enhanced surround sound. It offers PIP, Split screen views to enable simultaneous TV/PC source viewing at one time. Furthermore, the LT42HVi features a patent pending rear panel AV Lamp for best visibility when accessing the rear inputs.

    Pros: BEST PRICE FOR A GOOD QUALITY LCD 42"

    Cons: SPEAKER CAN ONLY BE MOUNTED ON THE BOTTOM

    GREAT VALUE-THE BEST PRICE AROUND FOR A 42" HDTV, LCD COST LESS THAN SMALLER LCD'S. IF BOUGHT WITH THE REBATE!

    Pros: superb high def picture w/direct tv

    Cons: unlighted remote

    This thing is very good looking compared to other brands out there. I was skeptical at first but when I made the HD conection through Direct tv I was shocked at the quality picture. Some channels are worse than others of course, and standard programm...ing is good,not excellent. But anything in HD is stunning.You cannot find a better looking,high quality set anywhere in this price range and they have the BEST "IN HOME" warranty included!! I plan on having the set for at least 10 years, Im sure LCD's will be really cheap by then! Read more Less
