Formed in 2003 around the talents of Angela Mullenhour (lead vocals), Eric Mahle (drums), Phil Naumann (guitar) and Shawn Podgurski (bass/vocals), Chicagobased indie rock quartet Sybris released its' eponymous debut on the Flameshovel label in August 2005 to both critical and commercial acclaim. The group's blend of melodic mid90's alternative rock and angular lofi/experimental pop landed them on Absolutely Kosher for their 2008 sophomore release, Into the Trees.
