Pros: Fabulous acting, great screenplay, incredible story

Cons: none!

I think that this is such a monumental achievement in the art of film. This is just such an iconic work of art that should be held as a standard for other films to be judged by...to me..it represents a magical culmination of talent from such a great ...director, Mr. Daniel Petrie and an incredible screenwriter, who brought the story from book to film, Mr Stewart Stern and then the acting of both Sally Field and Joanne Woodward was so incredibly original and compelling, and the way they just seemed to have such a chemistry together, in the relationship that would develope between doctor and patient...It was such a work of art..and a statement as well, for the defense of such a misunderstood illness..It should be required viewing for anyone approaching the Psychology Realm...but also for anyone who wishes to see a great story of someone who was so tortured and who suffered so much...but who would also triumph over her condition and would eventually become whole again.. Sybil is the best drama of its kind...and even though the recent remake with Tammy Blanchard and Jessica Lange was certainly a worthy effort, i believe it was no comparison to this original Gem!...long may this movie be held in great esteem and may it hold a special place of honor in the ranks of great films of all time.. The fact that this is true story is amazing and Joanne and Sally portrayed their parts incredibly well. What the real Sybil went through is mind-boggling.

sybil is one of the best psycological
dramas of all time!!when the movie does
show up for video,its going to be chaos
and overnight camping out you name it!!
