    Pros: Gets job done quick when it works right

    Cons: Bounces all over the place, hoook up set up fpr the ATV is horrible

    I have had this mower for about a month and used it once a week. Siince then the lawn mower has stalled on me, the hookup for the ATV has broken, the mower has dug up my grass in spots where the blad drags, and it bounces all over the place. I recent...ly rolled my yard 3 acre yard and had it in great shape until I used this mower. This is the second one I have owned as the first one I took bac because it was missing parts and I the engine had a problem. At this point I am considering selling the 2nd unit I have to buy a riding lawnmower and just give on saving time. I would caution buying this unit. Read more Less

    Great For Field Mowing

    Pros: Adds Mow Width To My Lawn Tractor

    Cons: Drops Clumps Of Grass From Rear Discharge

    I have owned and run this "wing mower" for 4 years now. I was not happy with the rear discharge that did not feather the grass, rather it discharged clumps of grass that kills a nice lawn. I reported the problem to the Swisher Engineers who... did not seem too interested in my findings. But, I did find an execellent use for the mower. I pull it along side my lawn tractor in the 4 acre field in my back yard. It runs strong and keeps up with my lawn mower helping to cut about 8 feet wide in a run. Contrary to what others have reported, I have never had any mechanical or engine (B&S) problems. I cut or knock down 4 acres of 5" to 12" of grass and weed every few weeks with this "weed hog" and will most likely buy another for this same purpose, some day.
