    This is a reissue of Bert Kaempfert's classic 1962 recording, which helped make him an international star. Included are some of his best-loved hits such as "A Swingin' Safari," "Afrikaan Beat," and "The Happy Trumpeter." The use of flutes, penny whistles, and voices contribute to the cheerful, lighthearted mood and became a staple of the "Kaempfert sound." Trumpeter Fred Moch plays an unheralded, yet vital role throughout and remained an unsung star in the Kaempfert orchestra for many years. This is one of the easy listening genre's most endearing recordings with the original LP being a collector's item.
