This ensemble cast of Canadian rappers and hip-hop artists join forces on this interesting and sometimes exciting offering Sweatshop Union. Although the opening track, "Nothing Makes Sense" is more of a spoken word/trip-hop tune that misses the mark, the Latin touches on "Union Dues" are far more pleasing. Resembling a contemporary Santana effort, the tune works quite well despite a mediocre chorus. The backdrop of Joe Cocker on "Feelin' Alright" results in Kyprios giving a quality performance. He also does a good job with the frantic track, "The Revolution." A mild and relaxing tempo is found on several songs, but occasionally the song suffers, especially on "The Humans' Race." Other tracks like "President's Choice," named after a Canadian "no-name" brand, are improved by subtle horns. "Don't Mind Us" is perhaps the worst of the dozen tracks, a lewd and generally dumb tune. The album's highlight is the up-tempo and funky "The Truth We Speak" by Dirt Circus.
