Rick Roberts, former bass for the Posies, mans the guitar instead in the pop/rock trio that is SushiRobo. Roberts' vocals and electric guitar are backed by Barry Shaw (drums) and Clay Martin (bass). The Seattle group came together in October 1999 and recorded a six-song EP before year's end. That EP, Action Causes More Trouble Than Thought, was released on Pattern 25 Records in early 2001. The EP found its way to number 17 on the College Music Journal's adds chart. During the summer of 2001 they toured the West Coast, opening up for Jon Auer of the Posies. Late 2001 found the band working on their first full-length with the addition of David Einmo of Spyglass on guitar. The results, Drawings and Garbage Structures, found release in the spring of 2002 on Pattern 25 Records. A year later, the quirky cool of The Light-Fingered Feeling of Sushirobo appeared.
