Pros: the 'new superman'-he's cute

Cons: -nothing-

it's a great comebacking film! new actor, new story, new adventures. though i love christopher reeves as the original superman, i believe brandon roth deserved the SUPERMAN title now. so now, superman got a son...hmmm? looking forward to the sequels in the future: SUPERMAN & Son fighting for justice. what a magical combination! will Lois & Clark finally get married? well, can't wait to see the 2nd movie.

There was way too much hype over this movie, yet there was zero action, it was nothing but a melodrama like an afternoon soap opera. Definately not a movie to buy or even rent, as it's not worth your money to see this film. To those of you that have and are regretting it now, i am sorry that you had to experience such boredom.

Superman Returns in a Big Way!

Pros: beautifully filmed, action sequences are very realistic, Routh channels Reeves and makes Superman very believable

Cons: didn't care for the ending too much - Superman is too much of a man of honor and integrity to not be there as a dad for his son

Superman Returns is probably my favorite movie of 2006! Action, romance, action, and more action - this movie is good from beginning to end.

Brandon Routh does an incredible job emulating Christopher Reeves' take of Clark Kent and Superman. At times I thought it could've been Reeves!

The action sequences were so real and life like that they took my breath away.

My only complaint is the ending. We find out that Lois Lane's son is actually Superman's son too. Superman looks in on his son sleeping and flies away. Superman is just too much a man of character and integrity to be an absentee father. Who knows what future movies hold though.

The extra features are a little lame. They must be saving the good stuff for the Super Expanded version that will surely be out later.

Amazing recreation of the An American Hero Superman. Animation and it's finest. Bryan Singer once again creates something thats very difficult to achieve. Brandon Routh is the perfect "Superman".

The World does need a hero and that hero is "Superman".

Cons: The movie dragged on a bit more than necesary near the end.

Bryan Singer has done it again. He personally led the new movement of the superhero genre when he brought the X-Men to the big screen in 2000. That was a movement that had died in the mid 1980's. Superman Returns was a different case, however. This was a franchise that, unlike the X-Men, had already been done before. That could be partly to blame for the movie's lower than expected numbers. There is no definite telling why exactly it did not perform as well as thought in American theaters. But for those who have not yet seen Superman Returns, it is yet another example of why Bryan Singer is the leader of the pack in the superhero genre. Singer, along with Micheal Dougherty and Dan Harris, wrote a movie that is its own Superman. One could argue that this movie is a recreation and even a sequel. Both are right, and both are wrong; yet another example of how this movie was done right. Singer and co. took the classic battle between Superman and his arch-nemesis Lex Luthor and brought it into the new millenium. There is a definite religious allegory embedded within the story, but it is done in a manner that it does not over run the main plot. This is a movie that was done right in almost every aspect from the beginning. The opening credits pay full homage to the original Superman franchise simply in how they were presented. The story tried to fill in as many blanks as possible, including how Clark Kent simply got his job back after being gone for such a long time. The negatives in this story were very few. Costume designer Louise Mingenbach for some reason decided to make Superman's costume one large piece of latex rubber. It loked kind of cheesy becuase of that. And near the end, the storyline begins to drag on a little bit longer than it probably should have. Perhaps certain things could have been omitted to shorten it. Perhaps Singer and co. will pay more attention to that in creating the now much anticipated sequel to Superman Returns (due out around 2008). Although, the way that this story closed out, it makes one wonder what the sequel's storyline will revolve around; perhaps around a certain young character. Fans who saw the movie should know which character is being referenced here. For those who might be skeptics or may have never seen any of the original Superman movies, this is an excellent introduction America's most famous superhero.

Pros: when lois was on a plane superman came back and it made me so happy just like Christopher Revee when he saved the people Plus it was the best Film ever!!!!

Cons: when superman came to the new krpton it was a trap it was full of krptonite and when Kal-el came to lex and asked him nicely "You have something of mine luther and I wanted back".Then lex punched him inthe jaw and fell on the gurond bleeding and then after that lex and his crew started to beat him up it made me almost want to cry. after that lex stab him in that back with a broken krptonite crystal and he screammed so loud in pain. then fell in to the ocean. then after that lois saved him. then he came back for revenge on lex by destoying the new krpton with all his strengh it made me finallyso happy...

I really wish that Christopher Revee was still alive because he reminds me of my chilhood and I wish that he could become stronger than He was in His old films. Plus I really hope get could be cheap so that i could get it faster instead of exspenive.I liked Jason he was so cool I hope that he would be in a new superman film soon hopefully in around 2009....
