Superman has recognized at last the greatest threat to humanity, and he is out to rid the world of nuclear weapons. But Lex Luthor, now a nuclear arms entrepreneur, creates Nuclear Man--a solar-powered Kryptonia Android and genetic clone whose powers equal (and potentially surpass) those of Superman--to rid the world of the Man of Steel. Christopher Reeve once again dons the Superman costume, this time for director Sidney J. Furie (LADY SINGS THE BLUES), receiving wonderful support from regulars Margot Kidder, Gene Hackman, and Jackie Cooper in addition to newcomers Mariel Hemingway and Jon Cryer.

Superman IV: The Quest for Crap

    Pros: Nothing!

Cons: Everything! I mean everything about it!

There is nothing redeeming about this film! Not only is it the worst superhero film, it is the worst movie of all time! Seems like with some superhero movie franchises, the first two are great and serious, while the third movie starts the campy trend... but it is alright, then the fourth movie comes along and it is either just as campy as the third movie or even campier and is a total bomb at the box office and ends the franchise! This is what happend to the Superman franchise. It was campy, all the new characters were very stupid literally, the audio was terrible, the visuals were terrible, the acting was also terrible. I mean it, nothing redeeming about this film! Don't watch it! Batman & Robin is better than this crap! They should have called this movie instead of Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Superman IV: The Quest for Crap! Read more Less

    Waste Of Film

Christopher Reeve refused to do the film unless it was done with his political slant. A Superman with a "Leftist" view will never do !
    I doesn't even deserve a "1"
