Scheduled to launch with the Nintendo DS handheld system, this remake of the breakthrough N64 3D platformer adds new multiplayer game modes that make use of the handheld's wireless technology. Players can take the roles of Mario, Luigi, Wario, or Yoshi each with a different special ability in competition against other nearby DS gamers to collect the most stars. Super Mario 64 DS also features 36 new minigames 9 for each of the four playable characters. As in the original, the singleplayer mode has gamers traversing a threedimensional Mushroom Kingdom castle towards a final showdown with Bowser, who wants all the stars for himself.     Pros: great and longer than original

    Cons: theres stuff missing but barley noticable

    It's great that u can be all charachters and even mini- games.Also It's even more long winded than the origanal!

    Pros: Old game with new levels etc...

    Cons: Thumb Hurts

    Controlls a bit awkward at first, due to the severe differences between a n64 controller and a simple NES style gamepad/ touch screen set up. After 10 min. controlls were fine.

    Super Mario 64 DS

    Mario 64 DS is thoroughly worth playing. As a game even a decade on it still knocks the competition into a crumpled, battered hat. The worlds are inventive and atmospheric and Marios moves remain mesmerisingly enjoyable. Add in the rough and tumble of wireless multiplayer and a suite of itchingly addictive touchscreen mini-games, and youve got an unquestionably worthy launch title. Just not an extraordinary one.
