    This was one of the best historical novels films that I have ever seen. It was powerful and kept our attention the full three hours.
    Thanks to the four countries who had the foresight to produce such a film. We need more films of this type.

    I had just watched this movie, and found it to be on of the best film's of 2000. The director and D.P. were wonderful in this film. This movie was a wonderful mix of history and storytelling. I can now understand why it was not able to run for Oscor ...Best Film, because it was too GOOD, compared to all the other stupid American films like "Chocolate" Read more Less
