    No Honor among Thieves

    Pros: Great cast, interesting plot & characters

    Cons: No hero, story becomes stagnant in parts

    Su Precio...Unos Dólares(1970) is certainly a curiosity piece for fans of Mário Almada. At this point he was not yet playing leading roles but showing the star quality which would soon enable him to. Though a small role, it's a good one her...e in the role of the sheriff with a boy sidekick. The late 1960's & early 1970's produced Westerns that tried to be different. This release focused on the law breakers and the back stabbing that went on among them. Even the female lead is bad! Most Westerns had someone to root for, but not in this one. It was misleading for the main characters to be named William Bonney, Doc, Jane Canary and Sam(perhaps referring to Sam Bass). There is even a bad American Indian as part of this outlaw bunch with the simple name of "El Indio". The moral of the story is, riches(here in the form of gold)are the root of all evil. Enough underhanded goings on to make several viewings worthwhile. Read more Less
