Stripped is the best album she has come out with yet. I can relate to it and it has inspired me. Powerful lyrics and new sounds make this CD a must-have.

Christina Aguilera's voice just keeps getting better with each and every album she releases, and her latest is no exception. The lyrics are surprisingly mature and discuss things that would not be that easy to share with the world, in my opinion. Songs like "I'm OK" showcase her talent, as well as her remorse for her childhood. Overall, the album is a good example of teeny-bopper talent.

Take the time and listen to this Cd and stop worrying about what she is wearing. This is album of the year and she is not going to get it because of one stupid video and song. Just like everybody made her a pop princess with genie in the bottle people are doing the same thing with Dirrty. Grow up ppl you buy a cd to listen to it and not wonder what she was wearing while she was singing it. Every song on this album fromt the beginning to the end. When was the last time you can honestly say you bought and album and listened to every song from beginning to end without skipping a song...this is that album ppl. If you dont have this album you need to run to the store NOW and get it. I have sooooo much respect for Christina and her voice is just amazing nobody can touch her vocals. And all these ppl hating talking about image all Britney is nothing but an image because she can't sign one note. You have to give my girl the props she deserve. Christina's #1 fan from day 1. Pros: Deep, meaningful lyrics
Cons: Toned down music
From the very beginning of the album, Christina lays down her truth stating, "So here is no hype no glass no pretense/ Just me/ Stripped" and continues that same vibe throughout.
The lyrics of this album are highly personal. This was a major surprise coming off of the fluff of her debut album, and especially in comparison to the lies of Britney Spears. What Christina gives on this album is raw honesty, and that in itself deserves a lot of accolades.
Now here's the lowdown on each track:
"Can't Hold Us Down": is a decent attempt at a hip-hop track, but is too watered-down by the background music. 6/10
"Walk Away": great lyrically, and she really lets the music carry the song. 9/10
"Fighter": the lyrics are worthy, but the guitar is too toned down. It's too bubble-gum pop; if Dave Navarro were allowed to shine more and travel alongside Christina, it would be a much more mature track. 7/10
"Infatuation": again, the music is secondary to Christina; it needs more Latin flavour. 7/10
"Loving Me 4 Me": one smooth track, that lets you lean back and just enjoy the ambiance. 9/10
"Impossible": Alicia Keys does one knock-out job in production as well as lyrics. The horns and background singers are the type of music Christina really needs to embrace. This track still does seem a bit-toned down, but it's has many musical elements that can really be appreciated. 9/10
"Underappreciated&qu
ot;: This track seems to continue where "Impossible" left off and ventures into a more funky "Respect" type of vibe. Very well packaged. 9/10
"Beautiful": one of the CDs best moments. Linda Perry does one amazing job lending her talents to other artists, and she does one kickass job here. The lyrics are honest and the music follows suit. 10/10
"Make Over": The music finally shines on this track. It seems more live than produced, which is a sure plus. The vocals seem the same, and portray the same honesty as in the beginning of the CD. 9/10
"Cruz": The song follows the title and sounds like something one would listen to while cruzing down an empty highway with luggage in their back seat. 8/10
"Soar": The music has been done too many times. It's too preachy, and the vocals, lyrics, and music don't completely mesh. 6/10
"Get Mine, Get Yours": It's so odd that Christina would pick such a sexy song to follow such a preachy song. However, the whole song sounds restricted and on such an honest album, Christina shouldn't feel the need to be restricted here. If she wants to talk dirty, she should do it, and the music should follow suit. This comes off as a PG attempt at what she really wants to say. 6/10
"Dirrty": same problem as "Get Mine, Get Yours." It also attempts to do too much, and never finds a really clear ground. It has a good backbeat, but there's so much other mess that just makes the song rather confusing. The video is really its only saving grace. 8/10
"The Voice Within": Sounds similar to Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love" except the background music doesn't really rise to the occasion. 8/10
"I'm OK": The most honest track on the album. The music comes in second to the lyrics and once one hears the song, you realize why. It's definitely one of the best tracks on the CD. 9/10
"Keep On Singin' My Song": the song puts the music dead last and that's where Christina went completely wrong. 7/10Was this review helpful? Yes - NoTHE CD OF 2002!!!

finally, xtina has shown to us her real side... i like her attitude and profanity,,,... she's not into sweet stuff anymore... she finally came out of her shell and begins the battle with her rivals... The album is great, it has a lot of postive messages for all people... i was really inspired by the album///... great lyrics and fantastic vocals!@!!!
