    Another collaboration between pianist/bandleader Clare Fischer and conga player Poncho Sanchez. This one was tailored more toward mainstream jazz than Afro-Latin and Latin material, although it also included some effective Latin songs. The Fischer and Sanchez collaboration lasted into the early '80s and was mutually beneficial.

Poncho Sanchez

Ever since he led his first record date in 1982, Poncho Sanchez has headed one of the most popular and influential Latin jazz bands around. The youngest of 11 children, Sanchez taught himself to play guitar, flute, drums, and timbales before settling on the congas.
