    Some of these songs Stephen has done live or on other earlier recordings. The standout track is "Treetop Flyer" which retains all the spark from his performances with CSN in the Ninties. The Freddie Neil tune is also an excellent performance. Stephen... had not done a studio recording(stripped down or Unplugged) before this. A must for any CSN fan or any Stills fan.     Pros: Crisp, Clean and Refreshing!!!

    Cons: Cost $

    It's ashame that it took Stephen Stills all these years to record a CD like this. This is his best work as a solo artist. There is feeling and movement in his music. If you love CS&Y or CSY&Y you will want this in your collection. It's a must... have for any true music fan. Read more Less

    Whoever rated this piece of history less than 5 stars is either: (a) a competing artist or ex-spouse; (b) Knows little about music in this or, perhaps, any genre; (c) Deaf.This is THE BEST solo acoustic work laid down by Stills or any other artist w...ho might be compared, and there are damned few. Aside from catching Stephen at his sly, true-hearted, vocal and guitar licks best, the studio background work is superb. When all is said and done, for those who care, Stills Alone will rest at the top of his recording career. Read more Less

    I've always been a great admirer of Stills talent and contribution to music, but this cd sounds like an afterthought, done in his garage over a weekend. Poorly produced, abysmally executed.
