Synopis: This documentary profiles surfers and surfing locations all over the world, including the monstrous waves of Oahu's North Shore, the Gulf shores of Texas (where waves are created by oil supertankers), the ice-cold waters of Ireland, Santa Cruz, Costa Rica, the Cortez Banks, Da Nang in Vietnam, the tiny waves of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin and the tropics of Rapa Nui. Pros: VISUALLY STUNNING, broad coverage of ALL Surfers
Cons: No coverage of the surfer JERK side of the sport
This is a must see! I'm not a surfer but have watch and monitored the sport for many many years. The producer/directors of this film used there own personal experience and insight to make an outstanding film. The extras on the DVD were phenominal and extensive nothing like I'd seen before. The DVD was very well cared for. The only thing missing was the dark side of surfing. The only reason I missed it was so that the surfer JERKS could see themselves for what they really are and appreciate the true culture of surfers and surfing. ...
