    On Steady As She Goes, Kisswhistle flaunts their style of playful indie pop. The upbeat keyboards and unabashedly sappy lyrics combine for a festive opening track, "I Dreamed a Genie." Marc Pattini's vocals are blissfully blended with Traci Butia's backup vocals on the second track, the breezy "Simply So." John Lancia's steady drum work sets the foundation on "All That Clear," a laid-back keyboard-based song with coy lyrics. The band's sound gets simpler on "Eyelashing," led by Pattini's stable vocal lead. "Boy Meets Girl" and "Mix Tape Heart" might be the most playful song combination of the disc, showcasing hand claps, jangley guitar, and subtly whimsical lyrics. The pace and complexity of the music picks up on "Home Remedy," creating a sublime indie pop classic as the disc nears an end. The pace returns to a relaxed and laid-back strum on "Lifeguards and Repairmen." Richard Mitchell performs gracefully on bass throughout, while P.
