Start-Up 2000 PC Game

Well, now you can with Start Up 2000, a reality-based business simulation where you create and control your own company. The game is the latest product to be launched in the ~United States by ~Paris, ~France-based game developer and publisher Monte Cristo Multimedia and Interplay. The company's last effort, Wall Street Trader 2000, was the first computer game to replicate stock exchange dealings, was released in the ~U.S. in December 1999.

Start Up 2000 is like ~Monopoly for grown-ups. The game allows players to explore the high-tech industry through three different markets and 3,000 products that can be first imagined and then built. Players are involved in every facet of the company: conception, production, advertising, distribution and customer service -- using traditional or on-line sales for the product anywhere and everywhere in the world, all done within the four floors of the simulated company.

The object of the game is to complete all the steps necessary to build an enduring, successful high-tech business, manage its production, design its marketing strategy, recruit and motivate a business team...and eliminate the competition
