    ...And possibly their best, period. Abandoning the thick, syrupy goodness that was Starflyer's debut, jason martin tones things down a little (guitarwise) while making Gold a more sonically experimental listening experience. Martin uses feedback in... new and painful/beautiful ways...(see: the end of 'Housewife Love Song' and the climax of "Duel Overhead Cam"). Perhaps the most atmospheric and wonderful guitar solo in the history of the electric guitar on 'Messed Up Over You.' The interplay between guitar and organ there is amazing. highly recommended...if you only pick up one starflyer album, Gold is it. Read more Less
