    These episodes from Genndy Tartakovsky, creator of the excellent "Samurai Jack" series, are a testament to the subtle animation details, humor, and outright coolness that Tartakovsky brings to his projects. The blending of this unique anima...tion style and the official sound effects from the Lucas arts team combine to bring a highly interesting, authentic back story to the events proceeding Episode III. Frankly, George Lucas could take a page out of the books of the writers for this series. Rather than extended love scenes between Padame and Anakin, or long winded monolouges from Palpatine, Dooku or a member(s) of the Jedi council; this series (no doubt a factor of limited time) gets by more effectively with some amazingly touching moments of exchanged looks, and concise conversations that keep the series moving forward. In some ways, I've enjoyed this Volume 1 series more than the live action Episode I and II. Excellent depictions of force powers, lightsaber battles and even ARC (Storm) Trooper guile. 5 Stars, from my 3 year-old and his 30 year old dad. Read more Less

    Pros: It's Star Wars in cartoon form done right.

    Cons: I'd definately like to see a lot more than 3 minute episodes.

    A must have to complete the Star Wars saga. I wish they did the same for Shadows of the Empire between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

    Pros: The art work is awsome and story is great

    Cons: the length is short but there are 20 chapters

    a must own for every die hard star wars fan. The story of anakin and the Clone wars is a must to know for any true star wars fan to know the story of the Star Wars universe makes watching the motion pictures seem so much beeter.

    Pros: Adult oriented

    Cons: Sound not so good

    I loved this dvd. My only complaint, besides the features bieng very slim, was the sound quality. I have surround sound in my house and it sounded better in stereo than in surround sound. I loved the japanimation type action in the movie. It was awso...me. If you like the star wars story then this is a must buy. Can't wait till Vol. 2 comes out. Read more Less

    Pros: Just like the real thing...very good stuff packed in to short episodes

    Cons: only 60 minutes or so
