hrmph...Wesely Crusher
This was by far the most succesfull of all ST's and I have a theory. In the recent ST's they have spiced up the cast with attractive alien woman, but in this one a cute boy named Wesely Crusher is the main interest. Since a majority of Star Trek fans are male, it could also be stated a majority of Star Trek fans are gay with interests towards younger boys. Maybe a remake of "Voyager" with a young, all male cast should be the next in the series? On a side note, instead of a red shirt, the boy who leaves his shirt on will be killed.

The first season was by far the worst of the series.
If this is as bad as this set gets, WOW, bring on season 2, 3, 4....etc....
NO commercials, AND I get to skip over the intro song IF I'm in a hurry.

Excellent sound on 5.1 format. Picture quality is a bit fuzzy on dark scenes but overall sound and picture quality rocks! These DVDs are much pleasant to watch compared to cable. Special featurettes are great!

This is so great! I can't explain the thrill I receive when I realize there will be no commercial breaks! Great picture quality too.

I must say, i just watched all the disc's and that was the best weekend ive spent watching tv in a long time. Now i can't wait til the other seasons come out. If you think this was great, then your going to like the new movie coming out in nov. This is a Must Get for any Star Trek Fan!

I just got this set today, and I don't know how other people write reviews before they can even buy something, but it's been a long time since i've seen these episodes in good condition, my VHS tapes of them when they first aired are about worn out. Nice to not have to fast forward thru the commericals to (LOL). the picture quality is excellent, and the DD 5.1 sound is as good as any of the ST movies.

Although i personally feel that the first season of The Next Generation had its flaws and was overall the worst of the sires' seasons. The high quality of sound and picture in this set however, brings the season to life and highlights the good episodes and scenes, instead of the bad.

I didn't get involved with this show till like '91 but damn am i glad I did. It lead way for Voyager (which they should also make, DS9, and ENTERPRISE. Patrick Stewart was the BEST Star Trek captian EVER. YES, better than Kirk. Buy this, steal this, rent this, whatever, just get it. (ps I wasn't serious about the stealing part)
