    Pros: Good Amount

    Cons: Good Amount

Well, I wouldn't call them kings of Britpop more than they are kings of the tabloid pool, but im impressed by their ongoing ability to follow one dream headstrong despite the critics. This album is excellent in the fact that it is armed with tab...la features and sitar. "Who Feels Love?" is a catchy tune and highly reccomended for Alan White's magical adoption of the tabla. "Go Let it Out" is the same old same old, but it is a ballad that will reign on in our memories. Liam finally gets his own track in "Little James" which is alright, but it doesn't quite attack the emotions of the songs as much as the hysterical humor. The media underrates this album for all its worth, and the band deserves some slack. The only reason i would mark it down is cause theyve been ripping lyrics off the beatles for quite some time...... Under-rated album - couldn't give a 5 th

If another band brought out an album like this they would be praised, because it's Oasis the standards are higher. Couple this with the fact that it's 'trendy' to dislike anything Gallagher these days, then you've got yourself a critically poor album....Again, morons listen to critics without giving an album a chance. This album contains such good songs as 'f*ckin in the bushes', 'go let it out' and 'sunday morning call'.Like Be Here Now, this album requires a few listens to gain full appreciation. However after a near 3 year wait for new material it was a bit of a let down - with far too many experimental, psychedelic and electronic sounds.Noel failed to realise that Oasis is a ROCK band and the fans so desperately wanted a ROCK album - so in that respect it WAS a let-down.I like to look at the positives in life and there are certainly a few on this album. In conclusion, this is Oasis at they're worst but guess what? It's still good. Read more Less

Amazing- a truly transcendent piece of work

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 30, 2005

    Pros: Everything...

Cons: Perhaps "Put Yer Moeny Where Yer Mouth Is"

I don't know why everyone knocks this CD... I am the biggest Oasis fan I know, and the general consensus of this disc is that it was bad. It features Noel Gallagher at his most open and honest- lyrics like "Gas Panic" and "Where Di...d It All Go Wrong?" are almost confessional. There's not a song on this disc that I can criticize (save "Put Yer Moeny Where Yer Mouth Is"- the opening is a bit abrasive, and the lyrics lack... and in spite of it, it STILL sounds like AC/DC with a decent singer and an experimental edge). After being an Oasis fan for over a decade now, I stand firm in my decision that this IS the definitive Oasis CD. I won't deny that the other CDs are stellar, but I personally find that this is the one that ages well- a misunderstood piece of genius. I always find myself coming back to this one. This is my idea of the PERFECT CD. And I can pay Oasis no higher compliment than that. Read more Less

Where Did It All Go Wrong?

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 4, 2002

Despite the fact that their first two albums were classic and included songs that incited many pub singalongs (particularly "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back In Anger"),they appear to have done such a massive U-turn since Be Here Now. Is this down t...o 1) Noel's claim that the band were on cocaine at the time of Be Here now onwards? 2)The fact that Bonehead and Guigsy would soon leave the band and be replaced? 3)Liam's just getting too loudmouthed? or 4)Noel's running out of good songs to write? Still an alright album, if not their best. Read more Less

My Pulse Pumps Out a Beat...

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 8, 2001

This album is a rock n' roll revelation. Oasis has come a long way since Definitely Maybe and they have never faultered. Noel Gallagher's lyrics speak to any generation and will be remembered in the future more than any other band performing today.... This is a rock revolution, and their best album since their 1994 debut. This is a recommended buy. Read more Less

Despite the bad opinions against this album, I bought it and believe me it's great!!This has adifferent sound from the other Oasis albums, but still is a great rock album!!My favourite song is "Gas Panic!" which is, in my opinion, the best song Noel ...has ever written!! Read more Less

Oasis back and better than Be Here Now!!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 19, 2001

Oasis finally release SOTSOG and i was slightly disappointed by the length of it all but that said its still a great album. Liams debut song 'Little James' is brilliant and Liam puts all his effort into his singing and its well worth it. The best son...g on the album has to be 'Gas Panic', who said Oasis couldnt still write classics??? It may not be up there with Whats The Story? but its better than Be Here Now, and theres always their next album next year isnt there. Read more Less

I used to be a fun of them and i like the first two albums .But the last two are really bad .
The music is boring and the lyrics has no sense.
