    This movie was totally great all together. It describes the drug world to a T. If you have ever done it you will undersdtand this movie more than some person who has never touched the stuff before.

    This movie is way out there - in a really good way - The actors you see in this movie are playing charaters you wouldn't expect to see them play based on there past roles - except maybe Mickey Rourke - they are all incredible and believable - Twi...sted , Dark, Funny, Visual - I was really blown away by this movie - See this movie!!!!!     Cons: CONFUSING

    This movie is crazy! It's really confusing to someone who hasn't done any of the stuff that its talking about. But it is good, because it makes me want to stay away from those drugs.

    Pros: realistic, bawdy, amazingly true to the spirit of the movie

    Cons: a bit too long, at times slow, and at times redundant,

    At times parts of the movie seemed redundant.Yet it was this redundancy that really added to the mood and ambience of the lifestyles of those caught up in the underbelly of the drug world.Their lives are redundant,as are their thoughts and movements....What came across loud and clear-and this is imporant-WAS THE DESPERATION played out by each actor as he/she was looking for/waiting for and hoping for their next fix.It was brilliantly photographed with angles I have never seen that worked so well.Glimpses of the inside of the volvo as it was running from place to place, and how, too was running on low-seemed to reflect the physical space of several of the key players in the film.In some ways it was a vile, horrible film. I believe it was meant to.I applaude the scope of photography and acting that added to make this film so real.I had to take a long shower after viewing it.reneesb2000@yahoo.ca Read more Less

    i watched this movie the day it came out here in berlin, and i loved it! It is great. The actors are super and the way the film got filmed is just absolutely great. i love this film, it became one of my favorites.

    great actors... shows how versatile they can be... basic story line... requiem for a dream is an "upper-scale" version of this movie so i was a bit biased.
