Essentially a joke band fronted by singer Max Splodge (also a drummer), Splodgenessabounds was formed when Splodge met guitarist Pat Thetic Von Dale Chiptooth Noble after a short stint in Alien Sex Fiend in 1978. The two initially formed a duo called the Faber Brothers and played at a holiday camp in Sussex, but moved to London after being fired.
