    Tough times? You'll learn to love this C

    Even though this is now one of my favourite albums of all time, at first it didn't really grab me. But then I went through some terrible times, including unemployment, and somehow this CD gave me such peace, through both the encouraging lyrics and gr...eat music. (Most of the songs anyway.) I think it may be their best still. And it was done on a shoe-string budget on the now-nebulous BAI/Brainstorm Artists Int'l label, thanks to those great all-around producers/
    directors/
    musicians and talent-spotters Jo Taylor and the late great Gene Eugene. And let's not forget that hot dog digger extraordinaire, Barius Hillius!     Some good ballads and decent uptempo tunes make this a well-produced bit of urban contemporary. It's not a classic soul/RB effort or blues production, but it's about as close to those as is possible in the current high-tech era.
