Alt-metal combo Spider Rockets formed in 1998 with a lineup of frontwoman Helena Cos, guitarist Johnny Nap, bassist Rob Roy, and drummer Matty G. The group gigged around the New York/New Jersey area for a couple of years, building a following, and recorded their debut album, Flipped Off, for release in early 2001.
