Pros: few good songs

Cons: gets boring

I heard so much about this band and I loved the cover, but I got sick of it real quick. They have been called the female Ramones. NOT EVEN CLOSE. No clever lyrics, sick obsessions or humor here. After a while, they just sound kind of whiny.

Yes, we (girls) are taking over the music scene, all thanx to bands like the Donnas. staying away from the big corporate whirlpool, the Donnas have paved the way for many of us girl rockers...(thanx guys).
Spend The Night has kick-a** sounds and i highly reccomend the album to any chick with taste. no, i reccomend it to boys too...i think it's about time girls give boys a taste of their own medicine!

BUY THE CD IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!!!!

spend the night the donnas new cd is awsome! 4 reasons why i love it 1. the lyrics kick ass 2. the attitude of the cd 3.there is not one bad song on the cd 4.these girls prove that they rock! i think any body who likes rock music should go out and get this cd! its not a waste of your money! your money will be happy!

the best cd from the donnas so far. its so nice to buy a cd and like every song on there. great sounds with fun and crazy lyrics. The guitar solos in all the songs are great. seeing the donnas live only prooved what i already knew, they can rock! good to see them finally being heard by more. my favorites are, take it off, i dont care so there, not the one (love the guitar on there).

I'm so impressed with the Donnas' new album Spend the Night. I've been a fan for 4 years, and when they switched to a major label, I thought the music wouldn't be as good. I couldn't be any more wrong! This could be one of their best albums and I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend it.

Ok, myabe I'm a bit biased. I've been following these girls since their appearance in the movie Jawbreaker and really dug their cover of Kiss' Strutter on the Detroit Rock City Sndtrk. But I have to say this is their best album to date!
Mind you, I'm probably NOT the target demographic they're shooting for, but all the cuts on this disc are great! trust me when I say you won't be able to stop listening to it! It's about time for the return of *good* rock n roll and The Donnas are leading the way!

The Donnas spend the night record, is the best cd ive bought in a long time. If your like me your sick of the shit the music industry is pumping out now. Dont place the Donnas in that typical riot girl shit category, and no they dont sound like michelle branch, guess what they actually play their own instruments, and they write their own songs! Holy crap! Imagine that. Well you should be shocked becase thats pretty remarkable considering the music scence of today. The Donnas kick ass, they are al incredibly talented musicians, and they sound awesome live as well. Their kind of like the female Ramones but much more sophisticated. This is by far the best Donnas album, not that the other albums werent good, they were kick ass as well. But this album is their major label debut, and they've really matured, and they've really grown into their sound. It's an indredibly catchy album, so be prepared to listen to it often, because it's gunna be in your brain all day. This cd is chock full of attitude, kick ass riffs, and great songs. Its definitely worth the 14 bux for this cd. If you dont buy it right now your either an idiot, or your deaf, so quit bitching and buy it!

If you already like the Donna's you love

If you're not a big fan, perhaps you can be won over. Maybe not. This song gives out something pretty simple. Rockin' party songs. There's not much meat here (no pun intended). The lyrics, melodies, and chord progressions are super simple. There's nothing flashy (with the exception of a few of the guitar riffs) but this simplicity is their trademark. Don't go looking for much variety either. What you hear on the radio is exactly what you'll get on the cd. No ballads, no change in the pace, but also not much going on in the way of strong vocals either. I guess all this is what makes the Donna's the Donna's. I guess I'd say if you don't already love the hits they have on the radio, you'll hate this cd. But if you find yourself singing along when their songs are played, you too might secretly enjoy the Donna's.

This CD is great quality. Its some serious chick punk rock. If your into real rock music then you'll like it. The only thing is the messages of some the songs are inappropriate for younger children because they are about sex or alcohol. But overall its a great cd!

Kick Ass CD. Lyric writing reminds me alot of early Motley Crue. That party all night, bang everyone in sight attitude. Makes me want to meet these girls even more. LOL I highly recommend this CD.
