This dvd is great! I really loved this film when it came out in I beleave The summer of 1994. When they released the first version of this film on dvd it was bad nothing on it. Now finaly a 5 star 2 dvd set is just wonderful.
The action and direction was just great. Origanl story, good acting all the way around.

This is a grate movies from a scal of 1 to 10 (1 being the best) i give it a 2 it is grate it comes after The Matrix witch is another Keanu Reeves move. Keanu Revees is a REAL GOOD ACTOr

Speed is a good action film where Keanu Reeves faces off with a crazed extortionist Dennis Hopper. I liked the scene where Keanu Reeves jumps from the moving car and then onto the bus.

I Loved Speed. I normaly don't care for Reeves but I thought he and Sandra Bullock did a great job in the movie. Even if the writters were on drugs, they did a great job of casting the people.

While the writters were picking who should star as the supporting actor in the film, they were doped up on Crack Cocaine and LSD. The Drug content in thier blood and the effect on thier Brains cause them unknowingly to cast Sandra Bullock. Because of this, Speed was not as good a movie and only recieved 4 Stars.

I absolutely love this movie. This is a definite blockbuster. Reeves gives his character such a heart and Bullock comes in with slight comedy and action in this movie. Can't get enough of it!

Keanu Reeves is the hottest man alive and he's sooooooooo sexy in this movie. Not only does he save alot of people but he plays and extremely hot cop named Jack Traven. His eyes are esspecially beautiful in this movie. I absolutely love him. I love his looks, his bod and I REALLY LOVE HIM!!!!!!

First of all I would like to say the movie rocked. I don't care what anyone else says Keanu Reeves kicks butt. He is an excellent actor. The first time I saw this movie I fell in love with Keanu Reeves. I've seen most of his movies, Dracula, Point Break, The Matrix, Parenthood, and both his new movies The Replacements and The Watcher, and they were exceptionally good. I love all his sides, and especially in this movie he rocked the house. Being a hero is probably one of his best characteristics, next to the bad guy in Watcher. Definatly 2 thumbs way way up.

I though Speed was the best movie i saw with keanu reeves and sandra bullock, they would never find anyone better then them too to play the parts, they should do another movie togather, i think they look really cuite togather.The movie had lots of action and romance.If those two did more of those movies togather it would be the best films ever.Keanu is so hot he will look good in anything, and sandra Bullock she is very pretty, she is good acting, she brings out the movie, and she is a nice person.The movie speed was the best action movie, i hope they make more like that togather.

If you havent seen this film, you really should see it. Its not another gory film, its just a damn good action thriller. When a bus gets planted with a bomb, Keanu goes to the rescue, but the trick is, the bus blows if its speed clokks fifty miles per hour!

Another hit in the U.S.A. Movie industry , another success from our beloved Keanu Reeves , another movie that shows that big nosed but still sweet Sandra ... What can I say ? I loved it and this is the best movie Keanu ever starred in , except for the Matrix from 1999.

Originally, I would have given this movie 5 stars without a second thought. Recently I saw it again and realize there is a pretty high cheese factor that I can't overlook. Still, this is a very enjoyable and suspensful flick. I highly recommend it. Besides, its Sat. night and all the new releases are gone - what do you do, what do you do?

Keanu Reeves helps 13 hostages out of an elevator. There is a psyco man on the loose that everyone thinks he is dead, until.....he loads a bomb on the bus. If you go under 50km/h, the bus will blow up. Talk about a good movie! Keanu Reeves is the hottest man alive! "growl"

Keanu Reeves is not convincing as a bomb squad cop. He should go back to playing druggie teenagers.
Also, I'm a TV news photographer, so I hated the scene in the end with the news truck:
The bus with the bomb on it is driving in a circle at the airport at 50 mph to keep from blowing it up. The police bomb squad commander approaches a television live truck.
COP: "L.A.P.D., I need this unit. Now, you can broadcast UHF, right?
PHOTOG: "Yeah, sure."
COP: "There's a signal going to that bus. I want you to find it."
(Photographer gets inside live truck and starts fiddling with what appear to be either volume pots or brightness and contrast controls between the preview and program monitors.
COP: (impatiently looking on) "Come on, come on..."
(Suddenly, the surveillance video from the bus appears from the static on the program monitor.)
COP: "Good! Tape off of that!"
(Photographer inserts a 3/4-inch tape into one of the decks and hits play/record).
COP: "Tape it! Come on, tape it!"
PHOTOG: (defensively) "It's taping!!!!!"
COP: (After one minute of taping) "I want you to make your tape and loop it so that it runs over and over, Okay? Run it. Run it!!!!"
(Photographer, on an upper 3/4 deck, flicks the "programmed operation" switch down from "repeat" to "rewind" position, then on another 3/4 deck below that, flicks the same switch up from "rewind" to repeat")
PHOTOG: "Alright, tapes rolling...."
-None of the above is even remotely feasible with a microwave truck or a satellite truck, but who's gonna notice? The apparent mentality of the screenwriter here appears to be: The media is very powerful. After all, look at all the high-tech things they can do with that live truck. Golly! They can do just about aaaaaanything! But the media is sinister and has no business being on the scene of this spot news event other than to exploit it and make a show out of it. Let's sock it to those media types by doing a scene in which our good-guy cop seizes all that high-tech power and redirects it to be used for the cause of justice.
As a television news photographer, I'm annoyed at the typically negative distortions Hollywood makes of the news media.
In movies, journalists are never amongst the good guys, are always pushy and insensitive, and are never shown as doing anything right, or even playing any important role in society. Hollywood seems to fuel a sentiment among many people that society would just be so much better off if the media just flat out didn't exist. It's called the "blame the messenger" syndrome.
Do you do any research on our profession at all? My impression is that whenever you are preparing to shoot a movie scene involving TV news crews, the director just glances into a crowd of extras on the street, picks one out and says "Here, hold this fake Betacam and try to look like one of those TV cameramen, okay?"
As a journalist , I have enough trouble as it is dealing with people who hate me for what I do without movie makers fueling their negative stereotypes with powerful but false images, based on their own ignorance and apathy about what I do for a living. Yo Speed was awesome man. Its so cool and action packed, I love it. It leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat and the ending is awesome. Keanu is really hott, even though he's 35, who cares. Him and Sandra are such cool actors, they are awesome man!!!

It's one of the best video's I've ever seen, I think everyone who's 11 yrs. old and up should watch it and if you've already seen it, heck watch it again. I could never in a lifetime get bored of this movie, or of Keanu Reeves'
sensational performance here! Sandra Bullock also did a wonderful skillful performance in this video! However, in my opinion, the sequel SPEED 2 is not as good at all. I would recomend if you had planned to rent SPEED 2 that you just watch SPEED again. Well, that's my opinion though, I'm sure I don't speak for everyone. Goodbye!Was this review helpful? Yes - No
