You have got to be kidding me! This is a 16 yr old from England. She has the ability to sing way above her years. If you want to hear some real soul singing this is a wonderful choice. Betty Wright does a great job in teaching Joss the ins and ou...ts of soul singing. This is the new Soul Sista for the 2000's. Read more Less

I THINK SHE IS A PHENOMENAL SINGER FOR BEING ONLY 16 AT THE TIME OF THIS CD. SHE HAS BEAUTIFUL VOICE, AND BETTY WRIGHT DID TEACH HER WELL. AS FAR AS COMPARING HER TO BEYOUNCE, TO ME BEYONCE IS JUST ALRIGHT. TO HAVE THIS GIRL IN THE TYPE OF ATTIRE IS ...IN, WOULDNT FIT THE VOICE THAT SHE HAS. It's like listening to Aretha, Lauryn Hill, and Eva Cassidy all in one person. I love this CD, from the vocal arrangements, to her soulful voice, and down to the band which is a throw-back to a smokey blues cafe in the middle of chicago. You ca...n't go wrong with this album. I think the 2 radio cuts are the best. The other's are sort of hit or miss. I don't like the vocal workout she gives some of the songs. I sort of reminds me of Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera. Too many warbly notes changes and not enough i...nstruments in the music. She needs to develop her style some more. Still, I think it's pretty good overall and shows a lot of promise. I thought this was a great cd. It is nice to have a young girl artist to come out and not be a pop star. Joss is her own girl and is going to be really big one day. Buy this cd !
