Cons: heavier than what I'm used to
Bought a Kodak, took it back; bought a Nikon D40 but took it back when I saw price and features of the 300. Tiltable screen is very useful for photos when lock in place.

Cons: lenses cost compare to canon, Sony have a limitation on the lense choices

I would say it is easy to use, especially for the beginner. And it is a worth buy model =)
But if you are the professoinal user, you might not love to own it reason being is because the lenses cost compare to canon, Sony have a limitation on the lense choices.
