Pros: great aesthetics
Cons: major failure after 8 days use!
I bought this to replace a Sony Vaio media desktop that is 3 years old. Maybe I just had a *bad* experience -- I realize we don't live in a perfect world...Set up was easy though I wish they would offer just a tad more instruction via hard printed medium. You can access the Media Center User Guide as a pdf file and it prints out 98 pages long! The Use Guide prints out at 190 pages. I'd hate to have a slow printer. The big problem was that after a mere weeks worth of use, I came home on Christmas Day to turn it on only to receive a screen that said, Can not find the operating system! To Sony's credit on Christmas Day I got thru to technical support -- after spending 30 minutes and trying to get the computer into even a SAFE mode they gave up and said I had to send it in for repair -- I had bought the $199 warranty extension as well -- but I get pretty queasy thinking a 2300 purchase is having a major problem. Sony Style (I purchased it online thru them) took it back and I'm getting my money refunded...don't know if what I describe I should attribute to software or hardware failure?? But it scares me on quality control to have this happen so qucikly after purchase??? ...
