    Pros: Huge screen, quiet, very speedy, huge drive

    Cons: Huge laptop, limited ports without docking station, big bulky AC adapter

    This is a watershed laptop. I have been using IBM Thinkpad laptops for 10 years at work - mostly as an internet device or terminal to more capable machines. This is the first laptop I have used that matches or even exceeds currently available desktop...s. This laptop will replace NOW several desktops - that I use remotely and those desktops run from 2-3.6 Ghz! It is really a multimedia cornucopia for those who would use it as such. For me, this laptop is godsend in that I can develop enterprise applications on it and multitask in ways I could only do while at the keyboard of a highend server. Now my work is truly "portable" and not chained to an internet connection to another machine. Notwithstanding, its net capabilities rock. Its Wi-Fi antenna gets stellar reception and the machine just absolutely blazes on gigabit ethernet. The Sonoma chipset means that laptops have really crossed the Rubicon - I can't see why anyone would want a bulky desktop after this machine and I can't wait to see what is next! Read more Less
