Great Phone for the last year
Pros: Great reception - robust and easy to use
Cons: doesnt go well under the shoulder
I'm amazed at some of the reviews I've seen for this phone - I love it. By far the best Ive ever had. I've got tons of Sony stuff and never been sorry - I guess I've never had to call their support line though.
I've had this phone for over a year the reception is great even in the garden - the battery has not gone south and the features are great and easy to set up and use.
My only issue is that the phone sometimes cuts you off when you tuck it between your cheek and shoulder for a second due to the position of the talk button.

I wanted a good cordless phone but got tired of searching for it when the phone rang. This system, with a corded base, worked well for us. Using the intercom between phones is a huge asset in a two floor house. Call waiting, caller ID is useful, too.

I'm just buying another couple of handsets. The handset is probably the most comfortable of everything around so we decided on this model. The first cordless handset that came with the base unit still works even though after a couple of months the battery got old. The additional handset that I bought about a year ago was reburbished but still worked fine until recently it went totally crazy. The handset would start to dial automatically the first number on my phone directory every couple of minutes. I went on vacation and my friends got more than 100 calls in 2 weeks because the phone wouldn't give up and dial their number by itself day or night. It went in the trash. The features listed work fine but some common sense things don't happen in a logical way and you have to learn them the hard way. Like transferring a call from one handset to another. Another bad thing is that you will get a warning about 3 seconds before the battery is discharged so inevitably you'll be disconected before you get to change the phone. Another unpleasant surprise is that you cannot use two handsets in the same time to speak outside. Anyway - overall we are still happy with this phone, I'm buying another handset today. But all the people above are right, don't even dream of using Sony customer service or to find usefull information online, I gave up long time ago with so many other Sony products. If you're one of the people that use tech support you might want to try a company that respects its customers.

I have no problem with Sony products, but if you every have to deal with Sony your wasting your time.
If I didn't HAVE to buy this product because I already have a Sony Base unit I would not be buying it. I'll NEVER purchase a Sony product again!Was this review helpful? Yes - NoSo far so good...

If you ever think about buying Sony, just call their service center and try to get help. Then reconsider and buy ANYTHING else.
