BBB-Bad Battery Blues +
Pros: Easy to take out and replace
Cons: Lasts less than 5 minutes.
Ever since day one, my battery has never lasted more than 5 minutes. I don't know why they have not been recalled. My model should be recalled if it is a common defect.

Pros: easy to buy online
Cons: very low life, expensive
This battery doesn't allow the laptop to work longer than maybe 45 minutes, with the screen brightness turned ALL the way DOWN, and with minimal CPU usage. Even with simple tasks, the battery just doesnt work long.
My previous Sony laptop had the SAME problem. The computer is AWESOME,as is my current FRV25...but battery usage is enormous..Forget using it on a plane without an adaptar.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoBe careful of this battery

Cons: Does not keep a charge
Battery does not keep a charge well at all. Began having trouble within the first couple months of owning this laptop (PCG-FRV25). Have had battery replaced in the past, but still have trouble. I am lucky to get an hour out of it. Be careful!

Cons: Very poor quality and expensive to boot
My battery lasted less than 60 days before it would no longer take a charge. My usage was low as I generally ran with the notebook plugged in. The SONY warranty was only 30 days and the store I purchased Circuit City) it at would not exchange it either. I really can't see spending $100 plus dollars for a replacement only to have it fail again in weeks or months. This is the only SONY product (of many I own) that has given me trouble, but, it certainly has changed my opinion of SONY. The SONY rep told me a battery should last a couple years which makes one wonder then why the warranty isn't good for a full year just as the laptop is.

It only lasts about 9 minutes and I can't find anything that says how long it is supposed to last.
