  • Overall:

    Very disappointing . . .

By Darren  Jul 24, 2002 | 13 out of 17 found this Sony NW-MS11 review helpful

I was so disappointed with this product. I have been waiting and waiting for this to come in (at Tweeter) and I finally bought it the other day and returned it a day later. I really wanted it to work for me, but it just didn't. I hated that it requir...ed me to use the OpenMG software, the conversion from mp3 to ATRAC3 takes too long, and it's very restrictive due to copyright violations. It wouldn't even let me convert most of my mp3s to ATRAC3 format because of this. If you're like me, and think you'll be able to buy this and just copy mp3 files from your PC to this player via a USB cable, you're going to be sorely disappointed. On the up-side, it's really sleek-looking. Great design, light-weight, and fantastic sound. Read more Less

    Shame on Sony

By Joan  Aug 7, 2002 | 5 out of 8 found this Sony NW-MS11 review helpful

The concept of this product was very intriging. I was hoping to move music from my hard drive to the NW-MS11 with ease. That was not the case. You first have to download software that enables you to transfer music onto the device. The software is ...not friendly and it didn't work. This is in now way like burning music onto your cd burner. After hours of trying to figure this thing out I decided to return it. Read more Less
