    Pros: Easy to use and works great

    Cons: Lack of flexibility

    Paid a premium for this GPS compared to comparable models. Found it easy to set up and use. It works fine and gives clear travel info and road hazzard information and alternate directions. One huge drawback is the Maps. I am an American living ...in Europe. Maps for Europe are fine. However, if you travel to other continents, you can not purchase or download maps of other countries if located outside of the European Area. So no US, No Africa, no Indonesia, No asian, etc. For an international company to be so specific I find sad. Read more Less

    Sony's First GPS Comes Up Short

    The Nav-U NV-U70 makes users go the extra mile far too often.The Nav-U's touch-screen display and built-in maps of the 48 contiguous states (the included CD offers additional U.S. maps) made initial setup easy. Sony says its database contains 1.6 million points of interest, but it's far from complete: When I searched for a Whole Foods grocery store, the device directed me to one some 15 miles away from my location, even though another store branch was miles closer.     Taking the Sony NV-U70 Nav-U on tour

    It's difficult to overemphasize how easy the unit was to use, and how helpful it was in navigating. I wouldn't change much about this device besides raising the maximum volume of the voice prompts. There are other navigation units which offer features such as MP3 playback and live traffic reports, but for the price the Nav-U is tough to beat. Read more
