Pros: excellent sound

Cons: kind of heavy

These headphones actually outperform the smaller mp3 style headphones. I bought a pair of $15 headphones for my Zune player but decided to take them back. Nothing compares to the Sony V-600. They also "look" professional. They are a good bu...y for $100. In essence: spend the $100 for the V-600. they are lifetime "keepers". Read more Less

this is clearly one of the best head phones I have tested....makes sure that you hear bass and treble incredibly well without compromises. go easy on the volume though 'cause you still want to hear when you're old!

This is my favorite pair of headphones. They're a little pricey, but I can wear them for several hours and they are still comfortable.Sound quality is excellent, if you've been having to fiddle with equalizer settings to make another pair of headphon...es sound good, you may find you're comfortable with a more "flat" setting. Bass is more accurate than any other headphones I own, and high notes are also very clear - none of the brassy, metallic sound that one normally expects from headphones. They are *big*. These are not headphones you'll stick in your pocket, unless you're a kangaroo. But they do fold down to a reasonable size. Read more Less

These headphones are by far the best headphones I have ever heard! The response is great, they are comfortable and lightweight (I wore them for four consecutive hours) and the bass...IT'S SO LOUD!!! Turn up the bass on your stereo and your head will... rattle, I promise! The headphones even fold for easy storage and transport! I took these on a trip with the Aiwa XP-V713 portable cd player (also highly recommended), and only had to turn the volume half of the max. That was with a car stereo blasting! If you are looking for high quality headphones, and don't go the Sony MDR-V600 route, you are a fool! These headphones are great! Read more Less

I prefer these earphones over digital monitors at less than a 6ft range... This should be enough to persuade many ppl.

Comfort and Great Sound that is Worth th

Solid build quality, very good bass response, clear and crisp highs, whats not to like? Added features included 1/4-1/8 adapter to allow use with pc as well as home audio equipment. Convenient swivel earpiece allows holding of headphones audiophile-s...tyle to one ear without having the other one hit your head - a must for recording and mixing music. Also comes with a nice little carry tote - not great but hey, its better than what others give you, which is nothing. Its an excellent entry-level into pro-sumer level headphones. And lets not forget the awesome sounds of pc games through these. Oh, the comfort factor - these are built for comfort and youll notice the difference (or rather, you wont notice them actually) after hours of continuous use. These are very comfortable. CRAZY BASS!!!

Man these headphones have enough bass to give you a headache. I am not exaggerating. The treble is also incredibly crisp. You may actually have to turn it down at times it is to clear. The only negetive thing about these headphones is that they don't... seem to do very well with items with a low output. For example if you are running something with a couple AA batteries the sound tends to goto crap pretty fast. But man if you have these hooked to your computer/stereo, watch out! These are also great headphones for mixing because they support 5khz-30,000khz. Most KGBs(professioal studio headphones) only support 8khz-20,000khz. This means that you can hear lower bass and higher treble than most headphones. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Read more Less

I used to own these MDR-V600 headphones. But on anything less than an ultra-high-powered (and extremely expensive) mixer, these headphones sound very dull and lifeless. So, if you're listen to music, even on high-end audiophile gear, there are far be...tter choices than the Sony MDR-V600's, even at their price. Read more Less
