not worth it

Pros: good sound, user friendly

Cons: constant keypad failure

i bought this phone november last year. i enjoyed it very much. it had great features and it was very easy to use. i thought i paid for the right value.

a few months after, the keypads started to fail on me. the space, no.7, and no.9 started not to respond because the keybed sank. i still had the one-year warranty so i had fixed. tada!

a few months after, i am faced with the SAME problem. i was told by sony ericsson that they had a defect in their manufacturing of the keybed, both on the original unit and the replaced part. i'm having it fixed again.

now that i'm nearing the expiration of the warranty, sony ericsson tells me that they will NOT answer for further defects the keypad will have. it's really okay with me if i knew it was my fault as a user, but the thing is, it's their manufacturing skills that's causing me and others problems.

i don't know if they've changed the quality, but i have found myself no longer interested in buying sony ericsson products.

It is not a bad phone

Cons: Flimsy

Overall it is not a bad phone. It has some good features, and the sound quality is good. The phone is light weight and easy to use. It is not for someone who wants to swap the SIM card often. It is nearly impossible to open the battery cover to remove the SIM card. To open the battery cover, you have to press it down so hard that you may break the phone itself, and the cover opens in the same direction that the phone does. The buttons can easily break, so be gentle when using them. It uses M2 type memory card which is much more expensive than any SD card. Of course, Sony can’t even keep its own standards from one device to another when it comes to memory sticks. This phone is okay if you make a few calls and receive a few. If you want to get complicated and do texting, play games, email, music, and other non-phone features, then get a different phone. There isn’t really much more to discuss about this phone.
