Very good, but not great!

I am a casual user and this model serves my needs perfectly. The picture taken on tape are of awesome quality. Audio quality is also very good. There are thousands of great features which are fun to experiment with. However, pictures (both still and video) taken on the memory card are not that good. (Those who want to know: I used 'Superfine' quality and the highest resolution provided by the camera to take those pictures) I mean I have seen pictures taken with other 1MP digital cameras. Those are of better quality than the pictures taken by TRV840, although it has the same number of pixels. That's the very reason why I gave it 4 stars, not five. ... -

I bought this camera on May 3rd, 2002. So far I have been very impressed by its features. This is the top of the shelf Sony Model. I did a lot of comparison shopping and found this camera to be the best amongst its competetors. I really prefered 840 over 740 just because of the bigger (3.5) LCD. I shopped on the internet, and printed out the rate of the lowest priced sites. I took the printout to Seras and they matched the price, which was cool. ...
