    Pros: the colour and shape

    Cons: it's shaking suddenly!

i think most of this camera has the same problem.. it's suddenly shaking/vibrating! i don't even know what's the problem! it's not worth the price.

    DSC-T20 Poor Quality Product

    By pugfreak  Aug 22, 2008 | 1 out of 1 found this Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T20/W review helpful

    Pros: Design looks good

Cons: Poor Quality Lens Mechanism and Poor Customer Service

I purchased this camera in June of 2007 (just over one year AND of course now out of warranty) Sony has had a mechanical lens failure in SOME of their DSC-T20s. The problem manifests very specifically by vibrating (like a cell phone) and of course yo...u can't take a picture! The big gripe is their customer service is GOD AWFUL! After numerous phone calls and several managers later I was transferred to the National Customer Relations Center (NCRC). In the end I'm still doling out shipping and paying half of the fee for repair. All this because my camera does not fall into their current serial numbers for the recall. I don't think a $400 dollar camera should be seen as disposable after one year and I think SONY should have much better customer service. They now have a customer who will never buy a SONY anything again if I can help it! Be warned my fellow photographers!!!! Thankfully, my husbands Nikon of 3 years functions great so I have a backup camera. Read more Less

Pros: Very handy little device; very good quality images; inexpensive; durable

Cons: Autofocus shake (factory fault); not waterproof

This was my very first camera and I took it everywhere. It served me well. And it'd definitely be a 5 star camera, if it weren't for the blasted "shake" as fellow customers have called it. This was some sort of factory fault, univer...sal in the T20 range. Which is probably why I bought the last one in Brisbane. Go figure. As soon as you flick the lens cover down, the camera shakes. This can be fixed by holding the camera vertically upright and fairly still. However, its a nuisance to have to do this constantly. Thanks heaps, Sony. Way to not replace a faulty camera. For reasons: "There's no cybershot of this same quality and price for us to exchange it with." Still, I use and love this little camera, with its nuances and such. Read more Less

    Pros: many

    Cons: few

Sony's T-series cameras have come down in price significantly since launch, but still manage to include all the latest features you expect in an ultracompact these days. The 8.1-megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-T20's 3x optical, 38mm-to-114mm, f/3.5-...to-f/4.3 zoom lens and 64mm (2.5-inch) screen aren't very impressive, but Sony does include its Super Steady Shot optical image stabilisation, as well as face detection and sensitivity of up to ISO 3,200. Also, if you have an HD TV, the DSC-T20 offers 1080i HD output, if you're willing to spend an extra AU$69 on Sony's VMC-MHC1 component video cable. Read more Less
