    I have had Single Lens Reflex cameras for many years. This Sony is a real joy to use. I have control over all of the necessary functions in a package that feels and looks like a camera should. I tried other styles, some even more expensive than the S...ony. They just didnt feel right. The quality of the lens is excellent. It did take me a little while to get used to the delay between pressing the shutter button and the actual picture being taken. I am having a great time with this camera.     This is an absolutely awesome camera. The important aspects of this camera are: it's unbelievably user friendly, has enough megapixels to produce outstanding 8x10s, the batteries are rechargable and it's easy to transmit photos from camera to comput...er. I have recommended this camera to just about everybody I know. You don't have to be particularly tecnologically saavy to use this camera. I love it. Read more Less

    The movie-feature is actually useful; be sure you get a camera (like this one) that can send its pictures directly to a TV. This can also create uncompressed images (e.g., about 10 megabytes); a great feature if you're obsessed with quality. Has go...od MANUAL settings, which many do not. Great little lcd screen for seeing your pictures. Comes with pretty good software. It IS a little annoying how long it takes to both turn on, AND take pictures, but this may be a problem with all digital cameras. Read more Less

    This is a great camera, I took some fantastic close-up shots of my grandson. So far Ive tried the movie mode, flash, and still pictures, everything comes out great. I have owned SLR camers for over 30 years and have taken some great pictures, but I a...m very impressed with this camera. Looking foward to doing more of the things its capable of doing.     Just the best camera I have ever had. Just returned from 14 days in Alaska, did excellent job took over 500 shots in 14 days. Never failed to cut the mustard, did great quality with unbelievable simplicity. This is a must have camera for anyone.

    Ok, maybe it's not the smallest cam out there, but the quality of photos make this cam of of the best digi cam I have own or even have seen. Considering the immense options that this cam has, it remains relativly user friendly.

    I recently purchased the Cybershot S85. I also own the Cybershot DSC70. When using the movie mode you can use the capacity of the memory stick with the S85, if you have a 128mb memory stick, then you can record 22 minutes of movie oppossed to the 1 m...inute with the DSC 70. The picture quality is just as good, if not better than a 35mm camera. The 8X10 are very clear and the colors are detailed. I would recommend getting a sony external flash($119.00) to go along with the camera. You will need a larger capacity memory stick because the 16mb is not large enough. You can only get 8 pictures on the 16mb stick that comes with it. The S85 has 4.1 mega pixels and the DSC70 has 3.3 mega pixels. This is a great camera. Read more Less
