    I picked up this camera at the end of February, after doing some research I couldn't pass up a 6 megapixel camera for only 199 dollars. I haven't been disapointed by this camera yet. This camera has a lot of features including the ability to... record Mpeg video with sound! The 6 meg resolution is great for editing and playing with photos you take. There is a lot of features that I haven't even played with yet. But I've even taken some night shots with it. And with the Carl Zeiss lens and the Sony brand name you really can't go wrong the price makes it even more attractive. If you're thinking of picking up this camera, I say go for it. Read more Less

    Great value for cost

    Pros: high quality

    Cons: short battery life

    Once I purchased rechargeable batteries, my worries were over. I love this little handy camera. It is light, consistent and easy to use. I took my time in looking over all the various options for the cost, this one was the one for me.

    Considering the price it's a great buy.The colors are very natural and the pictures are crisp.
    I really did not find any cons.A good product indeed

    Cons: little big for one hand

    I had dsc s40 before and then i saw this new launch from sony and at once bought it. This thing is a bomb in box. Really good price for powerhouse features. 6 megapixel is a steal.

    Pros: Easy to use, easy to learn features, great photo quality, audio/video capabilities rule!

    Cons: So far none....

    I've really enjoyed learning and using this camera. I've taken over 1000 pictures with it so far. I've tried pretty much every possible setting as far as resolution size goes and each picture is high enough quality for what I use them for.... I've printed only one picture so far but it was very clear and non-grainy for the printer that printed it. I really love this camera! I would recommend this camera to anyone wanting something small, affordable and simple to use. I also recommend that you purchase the 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, as it holds LOTS of pictures and video's. Read more Less

    Great Power in Small Body

    Pros: Great power in small body

    Cons: Too little

    With rechargeable batteries (2x2600 mAh)I was two months in the action with this camera (more than 500 pictures).
    Flash is excellent, quality of pictures to.

    If you need something very good for good price, you need this camera.

    GREAT CAMERA

    I absolutely adore this camera! I got it back in October. (I traded my iPod video for it) The image quality is amazing and the extra digital zoom gives you great close up. I unfortunately dropped it and cracked my LCD so I cant use the different sett...ings, just my viewfinder. Also the shutter lag is a bit annoying for action shots, the battery life is pretty poor, but rechargeable batteries fix that issue. Overall I am very satisfied with this camera and plan to buy a "new" refurbished model from Sony so I can have my LCD back. Read more Less

    I've had this camera for 1.5 years and have liked the quality pictures/images I can get. Decent movie feature. Fairly easy to use (when it works). Nice size. Since the beginning I have experienced the buttons "freezing"--can
    not review ...pictures, freezes in volume mode (when movie mode not on)---with beeping, cannot resume picture taking. Internet searches did not produce much help or others with similar problems, so hopefully just a fluke. When this happens, I just have to shut the camera off and leave it for a while OR I have to press the center button REALLY hard to get it to unfreeze. Recently, I dropped the camera on soft ground and now does what one previous poster mentioned---turn on and all I get is a high-pitched grinding sound, LCD screen is blank, occasionally get the screen that says I should turn off camera and turn back on---but I am unable to turn it off unless I remove the batteries. Unable to take pictures or movies now. The price originally was a nice Pro aspect of this camera, but $200 for a year-and-a-half doesn't seem worth it now. Read more Less

    Its a steal!

    Pros: amazing pics, full video, no stupid rotating controls, complete control over image

    Cons: hmm..err...aah.. size?

    this cam is a fab! almost 9 months and 3000 pics done, yet not even a single problem!! the 6MP pics are super hot, and its amazing 360 pics on my 1GB card. the best is no stupid rotating controls, and interfece is more like a mobile. you get a comple...te control over the pic. I got it for $225 then, but not regrettin it for the fact tht many ready to pay $200 for it even now in India (it was never formally launched it here, got it shipped). Guys just drool over the thing!
