Pros: the best
Cons: still the best
for the money, its the best for what I use it for....I get high reviews on my work so it must be working....the best point and shoot and the 15x zoom wowwww
Pros: Very fast, great pictures, light wieght
Cons: A little Clunky,My shutter button popped off, the flash casts shadows at close range
I love this camera, takes great photos, and you can even edit them a lil on the camera itself. The Zoom doesnt work very wellif you're standing to close, and if you're using the flash, there's a shadow that shows up if you hold the camera to close. Light weight, but kind of Clunky if you want to carry it around, and if you try to take a pic of yourself, the camera can eaasily fall out of your hands unless you wrap the camera strap around your wrist a couple times;P.
The only bad thing is my shutter button popped off one day, so I have to hold whats left of the shutter button down a couple times for the camera to take a pic.
After a while of using this camera, as well as with my Sony Cybershot DSC-P41 the screen gets a little shakey, and then takes blurry photos, and every now and then the camera will malfuntion and take pics with lines thru it.
All in all, I like this camera, but I want to buy the smaller version of it, the H9 so I can carry around in purse.
Pros: Clear sharp pics...Great price...
Cons: Lost lens cap third time I used it...Just popped off some place
The lens cap is a problem...it will just pops off anytime...anywere!!! The Camera it's self allsome and I would tell anyone to buy it. Sony cams are easy to use. I love the LDC screen with the large index wheel that is shown when you are trying to select what mode you prefer....Great canera and great price.....I need a new Lens Cap Sony and I don't feel it's my fault....just check out the other comments...jr
Pros: powerful optical zoom, easy to use
Cons: the image quality could be better
This camera is really nice for its price. The image quality is OK but the pictures in low light look grainy.
Pros: Takes very good high def pictures. Good lens, a lot of features
Cons: Lens cap not the best
I take this camera everywhere & it has never failed me; no matter what it always takes a good picture. At the end of the zoom once in a picture can get slightly blurred but that is only with digital zoom on. Otherwise excellent camera
Pros: 15X Optical Zoom, light weight, Zeiss Lens
Cons: Lens cap, Low light results could be better
My 3rd "serious" digital camera. first was a 5 MP Sony Mavica that recorded straight to compact CDs. Absolutely love that camera but only has a 3x optical zoom. "Upgraded" a couple of years ago to a 5 MP Fuji S5200 to get the 10x optical zoom (I attend a lot of auto races, ballgames & concerts) but after use felt the Fuji lens let the rest of the camera down soooo, it was back to Sony and this camera. I felt the combination of 8.1 MP, 15x optical zoom & the Zeiss lens would suit my needs for the foreseeable future and, so far, I believe this will be the case.
First test was a mid-April Mets/Phillies game with a 4:00 PM start time. Photos taken ranged from field boxes prior to game at 3:00 to shots taken from the main concouse around 7:00 when it was starting to get quite dark. With good light this camera takes wonderful action photos and the continuous shooting feature works great. as the light decreased the photos tended to get grainier, though nothing you would probably get crazy about unless you were looking to do enlargements. Came away very satisfied.
The next weekend we attended an outdoor concert on an overcast day. We were probably 50' from the stage and the 15x zoom did exactly what I bought the camera for. Not only were the photos crisp & clear, the female artist was having trouble with one of her false eyelashes coming off and the camera very clearly picked this up....awesome! Next weekend is a NASCAR race in Richmond. Can't wait for that one!
Back to the camera...lens cap is annoying,(rechargable)bat
tery life better than expected, LCD is very bright/clear though I still find myself primarily using the viewfinder.
Bought my DSC-7 as a refurbished unit straight from Sony for $269. added a 2G memory card that brought total to $309. Opened a Sony credit card account and they took $100. off my bill. GREAT deal!
Pros: Very sturdy, Quality Outdoor pics, Studio Quality pics with an understanding of lighting
Cons: Lens Cap is crap, Lag when taking pictures, Needs A LOT of lighting
This camera is great for the low price. Quality outdoor pictures and even indoor when you get a handle on the lighting requirements.
I have sold pictures with this camera, it's worth your money. Great little starter cam for the more serious artist /teenager interested in photography.
Very sturdy. I am a clumsy person at times and this camera has held up to lots.
Pros: Can get awesome daytime outdoor shotsq
Cons: Bad with moving targets
Still a novice and don't know how to do much but point and shoot. I have found so far for this camera that it is very difficult to take a picutre of a bird in flight, unlike my Canon IS2. But, If you happen to get it in focus, WOW. ALso, many time it has too much of a pause between pushing the button and taking the picture. With wildlife, which is what I mostly take, they are gone by the time the camera decides to take the picture.
Pros: Awesome outdoor pictures, great color
Cons: Grainy indoor pictures
I have tried several settings but none have helped get rid of the grainy low light images. This camera is so good, I might be doing something wrong. If I figure it out I will repost with the solution. Other than that this is by far the best digital camera I have owned (I have owned 7 or 8)
