Pros: What's not in the cons...
Cons: My fireworks pictures wouldn't come out right!
This camera is my favorite thing. Being a lover of photography, I was afraid the feeling wouldn't be the same as with the traditional manual cameras. I went from a Canon AE-1, to a Canon Rebel, to this. Once you get your hands on it, you don't want to put it down. It takes amazing shots under any circumstance (except fireworks, I think I had figured it out in the end, but the show was already over dang it). Shutter lag is generally more of a problem with digital cameras, but with this one it's practically non-existent. I took a picture of myself with the timer on, and jumped in the air and it captured it with impecable quality. This digi cam is flat out awesome, and it's worth the money.

I purchased this camera when it first came out. I have taken a little over 7,000 pictures with it. I have been very happy with this camera. It takes great pictures. It could be a little more user friendly. But overall, I can not complain. It is worth the time and effort to learn what this camera can do.

The Sony DSC-F717 is an awesome piece of digital hardware. The uses are ample. There are many settings. Among them are the many different sizes of pictures or movies to be taken. It is able to take pictures and small short movies to be sent on attachments with your e-mail. The short movies and pictures have three art settings to give you a art setting, black and white, positive to negative. Also the cables that come with the camera, enable the user to watch the contents of the camera's memory card on most new models of VCR or DVD player with video and audio jack cable receiver, fairly easy. The cameras is easy to use in conjunction with the Pixela computer software, also. The LCD screen is large enough to watch the different playback of photos and pictures, in a variety of settings: one big picture, three at a time with photo info, or nine small screens. The auto setting on the various picture settings is way too easy to just point and shoot. Go back and view and delete is also a couple of clicks away. As for the picture quality, colors are vibrant, the smallest of details is clear, take a picture in the dark with the night vision or night shot and the picture comes out as clear as day. These are just a few of the cameras awesome features. This camera is fun, easy, and has many aspects that are fun to discover through use. I am very happy with my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F717. and all I have to do is take out the memory card and slip it into the port on my lap top pc and download right from that,Neat huh?
