    Good Deal... few drawbacks...

By Chester  Nov 22, 2002 | 4 out of 4 found this Sony CLIE PEG-T615C/S review helpful

I shopped around and researched PDAs A LOT before I bought my first one. I was tired of lugging around my organizer which I was lazy to update. So I decided to go for the PDA. This one is sleek and very stylish. Its very visually appealing. I love th...e little jog dial, makes using it with one hand possible, and it comes with kick-ass software. One drawback is its kinda hard to see in direct sunlight... with or without the backlighting option. If you will be storing photos in there, the resolution is unbeatable, but the colors are a bit washed out. You can get this model for less than $250, and its a better deal than the SJ30, which is made of plastic and doesnt even come with a hotsync cradle. They have a higher end model that plays MP3s (T665), but if youre looking for a plain PDA with color screen and the other normal stuff this is the one for you. Cheaper than any of the other models/brands with color screens, and visually appealing. But to each his own, and I would suggest trying out ANY PDA before you buy it... I did... and this one was the one for me. Read more Less

But as that love story goes, then you get to know it. The features of this product are good if you can get them to work. The first one (yes I said FIrst one) did not hot-sync or beam. The second one will now hot sync, but still no beam! Im taking it ...back for a three try and if all the features still dont work this relationship will have to end. Read more Less

    Sony Clie PEG-T615C

Its thin case and bright screen are alluring, but this PDA is on the expensive side.A Memory Stick slot at the top lets you add storage or applications, and a Jog Dial high on the left side lets you work your way through menus and make selections using one hand. Finally, DataViz's Documents to Go provides valuable document creation and editing tools so you can take Microsoft Office files on the road with you. Read more
