    Not worth the money

    Pros: compact

    Cons: heavy, noisy - sound quality too poor. battery not long.

    Disappointed with the sound quality. I had a sony walkman with voice recording function and it's much more better than BM575 in sound quality. I guess it's the problem of build-in mic - it recorded all the noise produced by the tape motor. I ...will return to my old walkman although it's larger than this one. In my opinion it's important to have a unidirection mic, like M100MC. However I can't bear M100MC's size. Who can recommand a dictaphone with high sound quality and small size? If anyone care about the sound quality as much as I do, BM575 is not your choice. Save the money on a better mic achieve better result. Btw, the mic I used for my old walkman is the small sony mic come with the walkman package. BM575 has similar recording quality as my mp3 - yepp YP-T5, it's terrible for a cassete recorder. There is no way to use it in lectures. Read more Less
