Great!
hardcore isnt' much better than this. unless it's refused next cd! lol. seriously, this album simply careens, from the first second it's insane riffage, manic tempo changes, and strange chords with some of the best screaming ever on a record. not as varied as the next, but still amazing.

Refused's "Songs to fan the flames of discontent" is a great album. Though it is much less innovative and unique than "The Shape Of Punk To Come", the beauty of the lyrics and the ferocity of the music and vocals come together to create some amazing hardcore music. This band was so great, and Dennis' new band, is even better. Check out The (International) Noise Conspiracy.

It only gets better with their next release, The Shape of Punk to Come. To bad this band broke up after that.
