The lyrics are good. The tempo change from song to song keeps you interested the whole cd. The vocals are unconventional and therefore catchy. I enjoy the cd a lot. There are a couple of songs that I hear a U2 sound in....those songs are good.......and as long as you like U2 there isn't a problem at all. Read more Less

songs about jane is a great album to listen to all the way through. very sexual and relationship oriented lyrics (without being lewd) make it a great soundtrack for an exciting evening with somebody extra special. also, it's got an awesome soul...-ish vibe and is upbeat. i'd recommend it to anyone, and for just about any occassion. Pros: Best CD to come from any rock band in years

Cons: help i cannot find any..

Rock has never died ...it Just took a rest. Songs about jane are in the same ranks of "Toys in the Attic" by Aerosmith, Led Zep "I" and "Appetite for Distruction" by Guns and Roses. It is rare that a cd comes out that is... fresh and makes it mark on the evolution of Rock!! The music,Lyrics and above all the mixing is the best i have heard in along time. Don't get me wrong... Green Day had a great album this year also but I have to say that Songs about Jane is a cut above and a pleasure!! Never since "Bat out of hell" by Meatloaf have I Listened to that is track to track pleasure like Songs about Jane. This is amust buy for today and yesterdays fan of Kick A** Rck and Roll. My fav song is She will be loved- it has the most heart-rendering lyrics and music-
But all the other songs-such as Shiver and This Love is just bloody fantastic-
